MCS Mentorship Programme 2021-22

16th Anniversary
“Passing on the Maryknoll Spirit”

Dear fellow Maryknollers,

The MCS Mentorship Programme initiated by the Foundation is now fully operated by the school’s Mentorship Programme Organising Committee.  This year is the 16th Anniversary of our Mentorship Programme.  Through the establishment of mentor-mentee relationships between the alumnae and the current students, the Maryknoll Spirit is handed across generations of Maryknollers. The pandemic has brought us unprecedented challenges. In difficult times like this, it is even more important for us to draw strength and support from each other.

Regrettably, last year’s Send-off Ceremony had to be cancelled because of COVID-19. Yet, mentors and mentees were able to keep in touch via different platforms. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the mentors who have supported us in the past fifteen years by sharing the Maryknoll Spirit and their experience with current Maryknollers. We look forward to seeing veteran mentors and former mentors join our mentorship programme this year. We are also keen on welcoming new mentors on board. Please share this letter with other Maryknollers who may be interested in giving us their support.

New mentors: If you meet the following criteria and wish to become a mentor, please fill in the online application at: https://www.jotform.com/form/212777754938473

a) you are a graduate of 2011 (Form 5) or earlier
b) you would love to share your experience with your mentees
c) you are patient with those of the younger generation
d) you would take the initiative to contact them from time to time, and
e) you are able to attend our Launching Ceremony on 8 January 2022 (Sat).

Veteran and former mentors: If you wish to join the mentorship programme this year, please complete a simplified form at: https://www.jotform.com/form/212770936254055

The deadline for the recruitment of both new and veteran mentors is 15 November 2021 (Mon). Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation email immediately. If you have not received this confirmation email, please contact us through mentorship@mcs.edu.hk or give us a call at 2336 2378, as it is possible that we have not received your application for various reasons.

With a decreasing number of Form 5 students, we may not be able to match all registered mentors with mentees this year.  In that case, we will put mentors without mentees on a reserved list.  They are welcome to join our mass programmes.

The ceremony will be held online this year and the preliminary details of the Launching Ceremony of the Mentorship Programme are as follows:

Date:8 January 2022 (Sat)
Time:2:30pm Registration
3:00pm-4:30pm Launching Ceremony
Mode:                Online

If you have any questions or suggestions, please email us at mentorship@mcs.edu.hk.

We look forward to seeing you.

Yours Sincerely,
MCS Mentorship Programme Organising Committee 2021-22
