The first Maryknoll Sisters set foot in Hong Kong in 1921 and embarked on their journey to Making God’s Love visible in the territory. 2021 marks their 100th Year of Service in Hong Kong!

In addition to healthcare and social service, education is one of the most important aspects of Maryknoll Sisters’ missionary work in HK. With their visionary establishment of Maryknoll Convent School, the Sisters contributed to nurturing generations of Maryknollers. After eight decades of serving Hong Kong, the Sisters were not getting younger. In 2004, they passed the baton of sponsoring Maryknoll Convent School to a group of alumnae, and founded the MCS Foundation.

As Foundation, our role is to ensure that the School runs according to the mission, vision and philosophy laid out by our Sisters. Together, let’s carry forward the Maryknoll Sisters’ love for the community and build a better Maryknoll education for tomorrow.
