Fireside Chat Series #5 – One Vision. One Voice.

We are excited to invite you to episode #5 of our Fireside Chat Series – One Vision. One Voice.

In the upcoming episode, you will gain an insider’s perspective on how we are honoring our past while embracing the future beyond the centenary. In this ever-changing world, our primary focus remains the same: to adapt our educational approach to meet emerging challenges without losing sight of the cornerstone values laid down by our dear Maryknoll Sisters. We will delve into our pursuit of excellence, our commitment to holistic development, and the indispensable role of values and virtues education, and what it means in terms of human and financial resources.

We are most honored to have Ms Shelley Lee (1966), President, and Dr Emily Ngan (1981), Chairperson of the MCS Educational Trust who will take us through the history, roles, and significant contributions of the Educational Trust to our school. These discussions will be moderated by Ms Candy Chea Suk Mui, a renowned radio host with extensive contributions to the broadcasting industry and the community. Ms Chea has won many awards including the ‘Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award’, ‘Excellent Social Contributions Award’ and ’Hong Kong Volunteer Award’. She is also a proud MCS parent and a staunch supporter of our school functions.

What’s more, you will also learn how we are breathing new life into our cherished Convent Building on Boundary Street, repurposing it into the SHE (Service, Heritage, and Education) Centre. This transformation exemplifies our commitment to serve the community, preserve our heritage, and provide a values-based education to new generations of Maryknollers.

If you have not been able to join our earlier episodes, please check them out on our website https://foundation.mcs.hk. Priority registration is now open to Foundation members on a first come first served basis. You may attend either in person or via Zoom. We look forward to your continuous support!

The Fireside Chat is a series of conversations with Maryknollers that aim to engage minds, ignite hearts, and inspire service to our alma mater. In previous episodes, we have shared insights about the roles and responsibilities of the MCS Foundation as the School Sponsoring Body, retraced the history of our beloved Sisters, and shared stories of the School’s present time.
