SISTER MARILU LIMGENCO

Sister Marilu, a Maryknoll Sister, is the Administrator for the Maryknoll Sisters in the China Region.

Sister Marilu was born in Manila, Philippines. She received her degree in Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Home Economics from Centro Escolar University, Philippines, and trained extensively at the Clinical Pastoral Education in East Midtown Protestant Chaplaincy, USA and Philippine Heart Center. She has been invaluable at Our Lady of Maryknoll Hospital (OLMH) since 1983 and the Pastoral Ministry Department since 1991. Sister returned to the Maryknoll Centre, New York, USA in 1992 and was appointed to be the Head of the Mission Awareness Department (Promotion Department of the whole USA). In 1996 she came back to Hong Kong where she worked as Department Head of the Pastoral Ministry Department up to 2010.

At present, Sister Marilu is Honorary Secretary of OLMH, Ltd. Board of Governors; Member of OLMH Hospital Governing Committee, and an Honorary Adviser of the Maryknoll Medical and Welfare Association, Limited. Sister Marilu is also a member of the Maryknoll Convent School Management Committee for both Primary and Secondary Sections.
