Loving Beyond Ourselves Through Adversity

Lent is a Time Calling Us to Prayer

As we are to begin the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday (2nd March), we are reminded by Bishop Stephen Chow, S.J.’s Lenten Pastoral Letter 2022 to love beyond ourselves through adversity.

As Maryknollers, we are reminded by Maryknoll Sisters’ Founder Mother Mary Joseph’s words, ““Love, work, prayer and suffering will sustain us in the future as they have in the past. All who are here now, all who will come after us, will have no other tools than these with which to build. God has yet a great work for us to do.”

The Maryknoll Spirit is a compassionate heart that embraces the whole world with selfless devotion, looking for and caring for people in need.

In times of fear and hardship, let’s prayerfully continue our mission to be sowers of peace offering hope and support to those in need, and make God’s love visible in these trying times.

Please also keep our MCS community in your prayers as we work closely with our school to provide all round, quality and affordable education to girls in these challenging times.
