Council Members, despite their varied backgrounds, are all ‘die-hard’ Maryknollers who are strongly committed to Maryknoll Sisters’ vision and mission in education.  They demonstrate the will and ability to stand for, promote and foster the values of Maryknoll.  Not only do they help guide the two Schools behind-the-scene, the Councillors are well prepared to give time and energy to the service of Maryknoll. 

At the Foundation’s Annual General Meeting, retirement, re-appointment and election of Council Members will take place.  Amongst the Council Members who were first appointed by the four Subscribers of the MCS Foundation, namely Sr Jeanne Houlihan, Sr Rose Duchesne, Sr Marya Zaborowski and Sr Betty Ann Maheu, Mrs Helen Yu, Mrs Gloria Ko, Ms Amy Ho and Ms Barbara Hung are still serving on the Council. 

The terms of the Council Members are so staggered by the Constitution such that there is always synergy of new and old members on the Council, to ensure the continuity of the spirit of sponsorship.

The different backgrounds of the Council Members allow a broad-spectrum flow of expertise and special experience, lending the Foundation a balanced mix of resources to make decisions for the future and respond to new changes as they arise.
